The news is out today that Charlie Weis was saved for at least another season at Notre Dame, “though this past season fell short,” Fighting Irish athletic director Jack Swarbrick said in a statement.

Former Notre Dame head coach, Tyronne Willingham is fired without being given enough time to succeed.
Current Notre Dame head coach, Charlie Weis is allowed to continue on even though he is doing worse than Willingham did in some respects.

I think its cool that they kept Weis unlike so many CFB programs that drop their coaches like sacks of crap during a team’s hard spell.
Like Penn State, they keep their guy. Shows character on behalf of the school and the program.
